BRAND’s Co-Founder and CEO generates more energy than the new Hoover Dam. She also has more guts than Evel Knievel, a mainframe brain and a fabulous fashion sense.
Virginia is the quintessential entrepreneur who discerns huge, new opportunities and brings them to the market against all odds. She cut her teeth in marketing by founding Tusk Studios, a successful, award-winning graphic design firm, and publishing Las Vegas Magazine, the city’s authoritative arts, entertainment and lifestyle bi-monthly.
In 2000, she anticipated the Internet’s explosive growth, as well as its massive marketing power, and decided to seize the opportunity. She dismantled her two thriving businesses and engineered BRAND as a full-service marketing and communications company that integrated comprehensive strategies and tactics with traditional and “new media” executions.
Virginia also recognized the overriding importance of “the brand.” She fully understood a brand’s potential to create a deep, emotional connection with consumers, and the potential of building a brand experience that forms lasting and mutually beneficial trust relationships with customers. She quickly added a complete and unique brand development process to the company’s arsenal of services.
Virginia cracked the code for running a lean, capable and profitable business in an era of constantly changing technologies and techniques. She developed innovative strategic partnerships with successful businesses and individuals whose strengths and skills complement BRAND’s. This evolving, virtual team extends BRAND’s ability to serve more diverse and specialized client needs.
But branding and marketing aren’t Virginia’s only passions. She and her husband, Mark V. Martino, the Co-Founder of BRAND, share a love for excellent food and wine, as well as The Arts. They created Odyssey Lifestyle, a company dedicated to celebrating fine living through gourmet dining, luxury travel, art exhibitions and publishing.
Odyssey Las Vegas, an annual, four-day showcase of the city’s greatest culinary talent, attracted high-profile epicures from across the country. This event has also raised more than $750,000 for many worthwhile local and national organizations throughout its tenure.
In her spare time, Virginia loves golfing, traveling and watching baseball with her husband, family and friends. But she also enjoys the outdoors. She leads the BRAND team in occasional Mud Dog competitions and loves biking, hiking the rugged terrain surrounding Las Vegas. Always looking for another mountain to climb and new business opportunities to bring to life.
