Many moons ago, Virginia Martino founded Tusk Studios, a boutique design firm, and acquired Las Vegas Magazine, the first publication dedicated to covering the city’s arts, entertainment and cultural scene. This tandem set the stage for her early success.
Tusk quickly earned a reputation for producing outstanding corporate identity, print collateral and packaging for the region’s booming hospitality and entertainment markets. It also earned dozens of important design awards. During this period, Martino also guided Las Vegas Magazine to the peak of its popularity and profitability.
In 2000, Martino recognized the vast potential of the Internet, as well as its emerging threat to print publications. She sold Las Vegas Magazine, dissolved Tusk and set out to build BRAND, a distinctive, full-service branding and marketing agency that fully embraced the digital communications revolution.
